She started her career as a producer at CNN for their weekend programs Late Edition, Evans & Novak, and Inside Politics. She also hosted the 2019 Democratic presidential primary debate. In 2011, she was forced to resign as the trustee of Jewish Women International due to her abortion-rights advocacy.

Jonah’s dad John was born on  30 August 1963 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. He is of Irish descent. He is a news anchor by profession. He attended Boston Latin School and the University of Rhode Island.

He joined the Associated Press as a writer in 1985. He was named chief political correspondent and he also headed the AP’s political coverage of the 1992 and 1996 presidential elections. He joined CNN in 1997 and serves as the senior white house correspondent. He appeared on the programs The Situation Room and Anderson Cooper 360°. He also covered the 2008 and 2020 Presidential elections.
